Aloe Vera

Aloe vera has a long history as a medicinal plant which exhibits diverse therapeutic effects. It has been known and used for its health, beauty, medicinal and skin care properties since 6000 years B.C. The genus Aloe (accepted belonging to Liliaceae family) contains over 300 different species most of which are native to South Africa, Madagascar and Arabia. Aloe barbadensis Miller, is considered to be the most biologically active and is the only Aloe bearing the botanical name Aloe vera, where in Latin vera means true thus meaning True aloe.
